How to know if my dock connector was damaged?

Hi,

My device isn't recognized in any PC ( Win/MAC), only is recharging when plugged

I did all procedure described in article in Apple website support: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538?viewl...

I would like know if replacement ( dock connector 30 pines) of this parts may solve this issue.

More than likely it sounds like you need a new dock connector/charge port.
