Why doesn't my iPhone charge after replacing the battery?
Verizon iPhone 4: was overheating, would not hold a charge, and took a long time to charge, per user. Tried multiple known good chargers.
I replaced the battery but the iPhone will not take a charge. The top right corner of the phone feels warm, but no where near hot.
I feel confident that I did not damage any other components while replacing the battery. What are my next steps?
Thanks!
Is this a good question?
Replacing the dock connector got me charging, kind of. The phone still sits at the connect power source screen, but will occasionally boot up. By the time I can enter the users PIN, the phone reboots and goes back to the charge screen.
Ultimately I took the device in to Apple and they replaced it for a fee.
