16g iPod Nano 6th Generation POWER BUTTON IS STUCK.

16g ipod Nano 6th Generation POWER BUTTON IS STUCK. The ipod itself works fine, however, I cannot choose songs or anything because the button is stuck. If I plug it in, it brings up the screen where I can do whatever I want, until I unplug and the screen goes black a minute later.

How do I fix this? I need to take apart and re-adjust something to line it up correctly? any one else dealt with this problem? Thanks.

A quick search turns this up which looks promising.

How can I fix my iPod Nano 6th Gen power button?

There are also youtube videos about taking apart a nano 6g.

A quick google turns up tons of info and parts.

More than likely the little black plunger under the button has worn off. You can buy one here or look for another place online for parts and repairs.

Google:

ipodrefresh

DigiX

I know this thread is old, but today i repaired a power button without buying anything.

I took a little piece of the tape for closing the iPod and made a little ball. Then put this little ball under the button. It works great!
