iPad Pro USB-C port works for charging, but not for data. Any Ideas?
I have purchased an iPad Pro 12.9" 3rd Gen with severe screen damage and minor damage to the upper left corner of the housing. Recently, when I connected it via USB, it did not charge. Occasionally, it charges and displays an image on a monitor when using a USB-to-HDMI adapter, but when I try to put the iPad into recovery mode, my Mac does not detect it. I have tested different USB cables with the same result. Even though I've checked the USB-C port on the iPad closely and it looks fine, I believe it may need to be replaced, as I have thoroughly cleaned it multiple times with alcohol on cotton swabs and a toothbrush. What do you guys think?
