replaced headphone jack and hold switch but now it won't turn on?

I ordered the ipod video headphone jack / hold switch and swapped it out following the instructions on this site but once I get everything reinstalled the ipod won't turn back on?? has anyone else had this happen? I reinserted all the wire strips multiple times but nothing seems to work. any advise would be helpful.

mdibdc, triple check the battery cable, make sure it is all the way in,and make sure that the locking clasp is down. Be careful, the connector tends to break easily of the logic board. Make sure that it is still properly connected to the logic board. Charge your iPod on a wall charger and see what you get.
