Why is my iPod making a popping noise in my earphones?

When i put my earphones into my iPod it makes this popping sound that burns my ears.I tried to put it on my docking station but it does the same thing.

Well, this sounds like a motherboard problem.. usually when the sound goes bad in both the headphone as well as the dock port, it indicates the motherboard will need to be replaced.
