We'll need a bit more info here. Which update is it and is it a beta update? What is the battery percentage before you updated it and is it connected to a charger when it updated itself? There are reports of iPhone 17s "dying" after they deplete their batteries, so this could be similar. Try charging it on an Apple stock charger for a long period of time to see if it boots on, or connect it to a computer to see if it's recognized.
