I need to take the screen out but i dont want to have to wait for the tool kit is there anyway to do it without having to order that kit or is there any stores that carry them?

A guitar pick works well... and (call me crazy), but if you have strong fingernails, they work really well too. As freakish as it sounds, I often let my thumbnails grow out before I do a repair- in fact, I just took apart a 2G iPod touch with nothing but my fingernails and the guitar pick.
