How do I replace the base enclosure of my computer?

So a plastic piece came off of my base enclosure on my hp-dv7-6199US. I have ordered the correct part for it, but I am worried about the teardown procedure I found here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/manua....

I was wondering if anyone had any advice while I am doing this teardown as an amateur? Please help me so I don't have to shell out over $200 USD to get this fixed!

The part I ordered was this one: http://www.fixya.com/support/p4525860-hp...

Any ideas, folks?!

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards,

Ant

Anthony, that is a pretty good guide, but just like any written manual, make sure you familiarize yourself with it first. Read through it a couple of times before you disassemble your computer. Make sure you have a clean workplace, good light, and all the tools that are required. Take your time and have fun. Hope this helps, good luck.
