Wondering if anyone can help me with a power issue, I have not yet gotten to use the item yet however I did set it up and link it to my laptop a week ago it turned on now I can't get it to power on again machine a cord look in good condition.

Verify again that the power cord is fully inserted into the machine and a wall socket and that a lamp plugged into that socket works. If u have similar cord from another machine, try that. If it is new, then it is time to call Cricut support. If it is not new, then u need a tech to diagnose the issue.
