My Build Just Died After a BIOS Update and Have No Idea What Happened?

So I've been running a pretty solid mid-range build for about two and a half years now. Ryzen 5 5600X, 16GB DDR4, RX 6700 XT on an ASUS Prime B550M motherboard. Mainly use it for photo editing, some light gaming on weekends and general everyday stuff. Never had a single serious issue with it until last week.

I saw a notification in the ASUS Armoury Crate software suggesting a BIOS update so I went ahead with it since I figured keeping things updated is generally good practice. The update seemed to go through fine, the system restarted and then just nothing. Black screen, no POST, no ASUS logo, absolutely nothing on the display. The RGB on the RAM lights up and the GPU fans spin but that's about it.

I've already tried clearing the CMOS by removing the battery for about 20 minutes, reseating the RAM in different slots, unplugging the GPU and testing with integrated graphics and nothing has worked so far. The motherboard has a BIOS Flashback button so I'm currently trying to figure out if that's even an option without a working display.

At this point I'm genuinely not sure if the BIOS flash bricked the board or if something else got triggered by the update. Replacing the motherboard feels like the obvious next step but I also don't want to spend money on a new board if it turns out something else is the issue like the CPU being affected.

Has anyone successfully recovered from a failed BIOS update on an ASUS B550 board? And if the board does turn out to be dead, where do you guys usually shop for replacement motherboards or components without overpaying or ending up with a refurbished unit being sold as new?
