Water in iPod, won't turn on.

The other day, i went to go slaughter a cow with my uncle and cuz. my family (who stayed home) went to Pason, Arizona. My little brother decided to take my ipod touch 4g with him (without asking me)!!! so while they went down to the market, my ipod was in the bottom of a cup board, my sisters was on top of mine, and a water bottle was placed over it. Turns out the water was leaking. when they came back, they found out that my ipod was halfway down in water! i took it home and put it in a bag of rice for 24 hours. i plug it in and it makes that charging sound (CLICK!). but when i look at the screen, its blank. Like nothing turned on. i click the power button and nothing. just a blank screen with a battery sound.......Anyone Help? I really wanna fix it......

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Start by plugging it in and seeing if the computer recognizes it or if it functions when plugged into the wall. Let us know what happens after you try that. If it works under either of those conditions, then all you'll need is a new battery.

Considering he says the screen doesn't show anything, it could also be the screen that got damaged. You should try pluggig in into a computer the previous poster has mentioned. If you get it to read, then it could be a screen problem. Which would indicate why it isn't turning on.
