The left lense cover, the AR or anti-glare layer on top of the lense had come off due to the adhesive drying out. Is it possible to just glue this back on?

You might be able to do it using UV activated glue that is used to mount phone display protectors. That is available from Aliexpress. Anything else, like superglue might be an optical problem.
