Whirring sound from battery when I open my laptop

I just changed my laptop battery today. I connected it to charging, then open my laptop to see how long to 100%, before I turn it off again for full charge plus another 2 hours as per instruction.

Suddenly, there is a whirring sound coming from the fan which now seems to work. I thought the fan working and the sound is only temporary, but it doesn't stop.

I turn off the laptop, the fan stopped. Then I turned on again, then again there is that sound from the fan working again.

Now I just turned off the laptop, waiting for the full charge of the new battery. But I'm afraid there will be that sound again when I open my laptop.

What could be the issue here?

I'm afraid my laptop is overheating somewhere thus that whirring sound. Mind you, the sound is a bit loud, thus cause my concern.

Well, I think that it’s your cooling fan spinning faster. After installing a new battery, the system may run updates, recalibrate power, or heat slightly, causing the fan to stay loud.

when the lt boots up, the CPU is working and it is normal that the fan will start running fast. Once it is booted up the fan should slow down until you start working on something that makes the CPU work harder. If there are no other symptoms, you should not have a problem. You should also see if your lt has a way to limit the charge to 80% to increase battery life after your first few chg/dischg cycles.
