Hey Tom,

We have a guide right here that should show you how to open up your device so you can get to the usb connector on the motherboard.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Do you have to remove the mother board completely?

Tom, it is soldered onto the logic board. Difficulty here will be to find one that fits. It does look like a micro USB and may be available at Mouser.com or digikey.com....

Is the logic board separate from the mother board?

Sorry, some people call it motherboard, I call it logic board since I still associate motherboards with computers, and other devices, that require daughter boards to function.

Hi guys,

The easiest fix seems to be popping out the memory card and inserting it into a reader connected to my pc. The reader cost me 4 bucks at Fry's.

I can't believe how "fragile' those mini-usb connectors are. I have one on a "quick mount" for my Magellan GPS. I am being extremely careful with that one, as there is no alternative hook up for it.

Thanks,

tom
