Repair and disassembly information for Samsung's Galaxy S22+ smartphone. Model number: SM-S906x

Screen dead, phone still on. How could I get data off phone?

The other day I dropped my phone. After impact the screen is black. I was still able to receive calls and answer them blind. I tried force restarting it, and it was still black. I've had my alarm go off too, with vibration and sound.

I got a new phone but didn't have my notes or pictures transfer, the back ups were far back. I'm curious what the best path to grab the data would be.

Is there a way to mirror the screen without accessing the phone settings?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi @paul36860

Here's the manufacturer's guide regarding what to try that may help.

If it doesn't work for whatever reason then do you need a pin or pattern to unlock the phone or are you using a fingerprint to unlock it?

If using a fingerprint you could try connecting the phone to a computer and then unlocking the screen by blind tapping using your fingerprint and then if successful, swipe down on the screen and blind tap on the USB charging option and then try to tap on the transferring files option.

You should know if you're successful as most computers will notify when a new device is being connected.

If you get that far then in the computer open Windows Explorer (or Mac OS Finder) and find the device and all your data.

This is assuming that you had USB debugging previously enabled in Settings.

If you use a pin or pattern then unfortunately this won't be as easy to do as the phone needs to be unlocked first, before you can swipe down to view any notifications.
