iPhone 3G replaced battery; screen now not working

I ordered a replacement battery for an old iphone 3g.

Vibrate works and iTunes will open/see phone.

Problem is that now the screen will not come on.

Does anyone have some trouble shooting advice or help for us to get it to work properly?

thanks!

Hey Tinamschall,

I would try following the first couple steps of this guide to open the device up and make sure that all of the connectors or connected properly. Also consider blowing the dust off of them using a dust blower to make sure that the connections are all perfect.

The connectors in the 3G (and most other iPhones) are very sensitive and must be attached perfectly or they will not work properly.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
