The touch screen is not working after replacing the the front panel

I cracked my screen, but the phone was still working perfectly so I ordered a front panel to replace it. After reassembling the new screen, both the lock and home buttons worked, but the touch screen was not responding. How do I fix this?

Try a Reset, hold both home and power buttons until iPhone restarts itself. If still problem. The most common reasons for Digitizer (touch) not working is Flex Cable #2 is not seated to logic board perfect, or the Front Screen Digitizer is faulty.

Before opening and during any repair of iPhone 3GS make sure the iPhone is OFF.
