I understand!! So in that case if I use 2 500Gb SSD drives instead, what are recommended drives and what other extras will I need to complete installation? Will the standard fans cope? Any other problems?

Favor a 7200 rpm HDD for system and 5400 for additional HDD.

You don't need to modify fans or other stuff in your MacBook pro.

When you say "hybrid" you mean "Momentus XT Hybrid"?

I have to tell you, the "hybrid" part is not supported by Apple and OS X.

That means your hdd will work normally as standard hdd.
