Even if the light shows “Cook,” the main heating element may not be getting full power.
If the heater is weak or partially damaged, it will only keep the rice warm instead of boiling water.
Fix:
The heating element needs to be tested with a multimeter. If faulty, it must be replaced.
Rice cookers have a thermostat sensor at the bottom.
If it is stuck or damaged, the cooker switches to “Warm” mode too early.
Fix:
Check the center thermal sensor (small round button under the pot).
If it doesn’t move freely up and down, clean it.
If damaged, replace the thermostat.
If the inner pot bottom is dirty, bent, or not sitting properly, heat transfer won’t happen correctly.
Fix:
Clean the bottom of the pot and the heating plate.
Make sure the pot sits flat and centered.
If voltage is low, the cooker may not reach boiling temperature.
Fix:
Try a different wall socket.
If the thermal fuse is weak, it may prevent full heating.
Fix:
Needs internal inspection and replacement if blown.
