@marky14530 could be a few issues. Start off by connecting an external monitor. If that displays properly, you know that the issues is related to either your screen or the display cable. Should an external monitor also fail to show an image, then it is possible that your computers issues are related to a bad GPU or other motherboard issues. If your laptop powers on but shows no picture, the issue could be display, RAM, or graphics related. First, increase brightness and check if you see a very faint image using a flashlight—this indicates a failed backlight. Next, connect the laptop to an external monitor via HDMI. If the external display works, the laptop screen or display cable is faulty. If nothing appears externally, reseat or test the RAM, as loose memory can cause a blank screen. Also try a hard reset: unplug charger, remove battery (if possible), hold power button 15 seconds, then restart. Persistent issues may require professional repair.
