Before starting the dishwasher place the sprayarms in a remembered position e.g. side to side or back to front and then turn on the dishwasher and once it has filled etc and should be washing the dishes, open the door to stop the dishwasher and check if the arms have moved.
If not it could be a circulation pump issue, a clogged filter or perhaps the sprayarms are also clogged.
