I've got a p3314 poilan attempting to ajust air and gas mixture it'll start and run for a second then the idle will start idling hi and die before I'm able to ajust anything
Any help or ideas of what I've done wrong would be great and thanks in advance

Not sure if you've tried this but here's the owner manual for the chainsaw that may help.
Go to p.17 to see how to adjust the carburetor.
