Upper right corner doesn't respond + glue doesn't stick

I just repaired an iPod Touch 4G and everything went great apart from two things:

  • The upper right corner doesn't seem to respond on touches
  • When reassembling, the front panel won't stick together. I used 3M tape, but it doesn't seem strong enough to keep both parts together

Any suggestions/tips?

Thx!

Sounds like the screen you used has a defective digitizer.

When I repair these iPods I usually use a head gun to lightly warm the outer edges of the new glass once it is installed to "melt" the adhesive and then I put the iPod on a flat surface on a microfiber towel and then put a couple of heavy books on top. It always gives it a better stick!

Also, check to see if that top corner is dented or bent. That can always make a difference too
