I tried to install a update to my system and now it's stuck in safe mo

I tried to do a system update and it is stuck on safe mode my console will not take the update file from my USB drive how can I fix it

Did the update fail? Or was the update file not recognized at all?

You may just need to format the usb properly and copy the PUP file onto it again.

You can always download the recovery version of the firmware update. It's a bigger file and I think it initializes the console, so you might lose some data.

Hi!

First of all, make sure that you download the “PS4 Console Reinstallation file” here: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/suppor...

Also make sure that the USB is FAT32 formatted.

The folders need to look like this: ROOT USB > PS4 > UPDATE < place the update file in this folder. Make sure the name is in CAPS.
