Parts no longer fits, how to fix?

Hello out there!

I'm just a iOS Software Dev, not much experience on hardware.

But, I've repaired some of my iDevices. So a friend asked me to repair his iPod touch 4th gen. The device had has a destroyed display until I replaced it.

After all work, the parts (so the whole display assembly) doesnt fits longer. And the display seem to be touched from behind. (When I try to press the parts together, on the display appears more of these touched points.)

I've really no idea why, but I think it's a mix of glue and not strong turned screws.

What would you say?

Okay, that's a really good point! I opened it again and looked for the screws.

I opened an other iPod (in the pictures the behind one) and compared them, I don't find the difference between them.

I'd go back through your repairs and be sure the parts are seated correctly and your screws have been completely fastened down. You're just going to have to feel your way with this one. If you get frustrated, walk away from it and come back later, don't force it.
