How do I replace the battery in my Xiaomi Redmi 6?

My Redmi 6 suddenly stopped working and won't be charged - ie when plugged in the battery isn't accepting a charge - so I assume the battery has died. I would like to get my photos off the phone, so hoped it might work if I changed the battery. My model is M1804C3DG. I think the battery I need is the BN37, but no instructions came with the phone so I don't know how to open it to change the battery and close it properly afterwards. Any advice on this would be much appreciated!

@alex27419 since iFixit does not yet have a guide for this, use the instructions from here Those are written in Spanish so use a browser that does the translating for you, if needed. Replacement batteries are readily available at many online stores.

While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same issues as you do.
