Dvd bumbs in the centre back and forth doesnt stop

my ps2 doesnt read disks and the dvd bumps in te center back and forf i think its the cable as for i thear it down to clean and only the dvd and fan was removed its cable and the fan works just fine but the dvd doesnt i did put all the cables back in to place but from the dvds cable fell a small piece of plastick and i lost it also the contact on the cable are absent at all

also i want to mod it easy with an hdd if can but all the materials i can buy are from temu and my local stores that arent so specialized in consoles
