Hisense Google TV (55A68N) plays sound but not video

Hisense model 55A68N

I recently bought a Hisense Google TV, everytime it gets turned off I have to do a power cycle if I want to use it. It'll play the sound for the show, but not the video.(The display/backlight is on, it'll just sit on a buffering screen when I try to watch anything) What do you think would be the cause? Every other tv/device in my house works fine, so I don't believe it's a network issue but I could be wrong.(I also don't think the tv it selected is the right one,

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@louisvsourd you did say it has no video. Do you see the screen when it is buffering? What do you see?

I misworded the post. For example when watching Netflix the itll play the sound but just shows the buffering/loading screen, but just stay there at 0% not making any progress, but not frozen (you can see the buffer wheel spinning) Same thing happens on all streaming/video services, until I do a power cycle. The hisense is the only tv/device in my house with the issue and is also the newest.

@louisvsourd so it tries to buffer the video but plays the sound for the video already? If I understand that correctly, not just on Netflix. Does it work after you do the power cycle and how do you power cycle?

@oldturkey03

Yes you understand correctly, it works fine after i do the power cycle, to power cycle i unplug the TV for 5-10 minutes, and hold the power button for 30 seconds.

@louisvsourd I wonder if you are running into issues with the memory or the EEPROM on the main board. Let me check if there is any information about the main board type and location of those items.

Have you tried to reset or even reinstall the firmware for your TV yet? Might be an option.
