boot problem. Only boot if disconnect CMOS battery
Hi everybody, I got a strange issue with my x240.
If detach the cmos battery work fine, ( also done the advanced hardware test via "lenovo Dignostic Evolution", all ok.)
If I connect the cmos battery, when i connect the power cable the led on the power button blink 3 times then do not power up, do noting.
Try more time also using the reset button.
Is pain using it whitout the cmos being forced to insert data time every time powering on.
Thanks for any help.
Is this a good question?
@erikzauli have you replaced the battery yet? That is what I would start off with.

a low battery can cause a fault where the PC tries to pull the correct date time and when it can't it fails to load the boot system.

@ryanjohnst63184 I think the battery is fine, 3,10v -3,11v voltmeter tested.

@oldturkey03 i doubt the the problem is the battery is that was discarget the system do not make difference bethenn no battery and too low battery to mantain CMOS bios setup. or not?
I tested the battery and give me 3,10 - 3,11 V manual say that that battery is suitable between 2,6 and 3.2v

@erikzauli that voltage should be enough to not mess with it. Common error for these are bad CMOS battery which messes with the BIOS. Next I would check and update the BIOS.
