Try the MCT tool again - if it still has issues, get a SanDisk drive, SanDisk only. I have had good luck with most name brand drives like PNY, SanDisk and USB3 Kingston models but every time I have found SanDisk drives just tend to work. If you deviate, Verbatims are wonky - they just don't do well with being booted from on the USB2 side. Maybe USB3 is better, but you never see them in stores, so I can't test a USB3 one. I've had little trouble with Windows, but ChromeOS Flex is notoriously bad and Linux is a 50/50 shot. But I wouldn't trust them further then I can throw it because of how bad they handle Linux.

This laptop is old af too, so you need to make sure you format the drive in MBR, NOT GPT. It will ignore your drive with GPT. I have a survivor Compaq F500 with that issue, and a lot of my venerable Dells I love like the D630/D830 and the many unkillable Inspirons have the same issue. The MCT may not accommodate this well, if at all. Use Rufus if it has boot issues. I have dealt with the opposite as well -- USB2 drives crash with a Watchdog violation USB3 drives skirt on AMD platforms with certain SSDs.

Prova di nuovo lo strumento MCT: se i problemi persistono, procurati un'unità SanDisk, solo SanDisk. Ho avuto fortuna con la maggior parte delle unità di marca come i modelli PNY, SanDisk e USB3 Kingston, ma ogni volta ho scoperto che le unità SanDisk tendono a funzionare. Se devii, i Verbatim sono traballanti: semplicemente non si comportano bene con l'avvio dal lato USB2. Forse USB3 è migliore, ma non li vedi mai nei negozi, quindi non posso testarne uno USB3. Non ho avuto molti problemi con Windows, ma ChromeOS Flex è notoriamente problematico e Linux è un'incognita. Questo portatile è molto vecchio, quindi assicurati di formattare l'unità in MBR, NON in GPT. Non riconoscerà l'unità formattata in GPT. Ho un vecchio Compaq F500 con questo problema, e molti dei miei amati e affidabili Dell, come il D630/D830 e i tanti Inspiron indistruttibili, presentano lo stesso problema. Il Media Creation Tool potrebbe non essere compatibile con questa configurazione, o non esserlo affatto. Usa Rufus in caso di problemi di avvio. Ho riscontrato anche il problema opposto: le unità USB 2.0 si bloccano con un errore di Watchdog, mentre le unità USB 3.0 funzionano a fatica su piattaforme AMD con determinate unità SSD.
