logic board swap MacBook 13.3 Black?

I want to know if I can change my logic board on my 2006 MacBook A1181 with a logic board that will support more ram than the current 3GB limit on mine?

More Ram More Speed, and of course my logic board won't recognized anything over 3GB.

Any help would be great.

Unfortunately, Apple changed the majority of the connectors on the machines that support more than 3 GB RAM (they changed from standard "4-wall" connectors to JST "3-wall" connectors). Therefore, you would need to replace most of the components for such an upgrade (display cables, fan, PRAM, lower case to accommodate the relocation of the PRAM, heat sink, speakers, etc), which may end up costing more than a new machine, when adding the cost of a new logic board.

Sorry!
