Recognizes that USB is attached but will not charge battery. Battery is good. Assume USB connection on inside of phone has lost connection. Repair suggestions?

Look inside the port and check to see if any pins have been bent back. You usb will be recognized if 3 pins are attached.

I take pretty good care of my phones and the Atrix is the first phone that didn't make it through the contract period. The charging problem was the beginning of the end for my phone and started to manifest itself after just over a year of use.
I sent mine back to Motorola. Their customer care website is the worst that you could imagine and the call center isn't much better. Neither the live operator or the repair status web application couldn't tell me the status of my phone and kept giving me conflicting information. They finally returned it to me as unrepairable due to water damage. It has gotten wet from being in my pocket in the rain but never submerged but I couldn't argue with them since it was out of warranty.
I read in another forum that if you flex the phone slightly by applying opposite pressure to the top and bottom of the phone it will begin to charge. This worked for me for a while however the are other issues that will begin to appear in short order. The camera will cease to self focus and eventually the earpiece speaker will stop working making the phone essentially a smart pager.
