happened to me on my whirlpool. It was the main relay on the control board. I tapped the relay and it fixed it for about 6 months, enough time to order new relays. appliance parts stores thing they are made of gold and sell them for ~$36. Aliexpress sold them for about $5 for 5

Is it humming before you press the start button to commence heating/cooking the food or after you have started it?
If after, is the turntable turning in the oven?

My apologies i mess typed it. it is model # JES1657SM2SS
once i close the door it makes humming noise as if it was running. i have to keep the door open to stop it.
