Why my MacBook run slow?

I have buy a hard drive , and I changed the disc inside my macbook pro. The old disc was a Hitachi 160 GB, for on new scorpion blue western digital, since this change was made, my macbook run very slow, and many time stop the processing and not work more.

What size is the new disk?

Wht did you change the drive? What was it doing?

This can be caused by several things. My first guess is that you're overheating. On this age of machine I would tear it down, clean the heat sink vent ports and reapply thermal paste. Second you may have gotten a bad hard drive or one with a lot of bad blocks. This being the case, I would reformat the drive using the "write zeros" option to map the bad blocks out. You may also have damaged the hard drive data cable and it may need to be replaced. It could also be the speed of the new drive, it may have to be jumpered down to a more readable speed. Your machines BUS is Int. HD Interface: Serial ATA (1.5 Gb/s). What was the machine doing before you changed the hard drive?
