Failed repair, screen goes white.

I followed the iPhone 3gs front display repair guide. It went well right up until step 10 when I'm removing the Phillips#00 screws. Since the screw itself could not come off, and was worn down from failed attempts at the screwdriver, the screw became too rounded to screw out. So As I removed all the screws except for one, I dislodged it from the side part. The LCD itself and everything around is still intact, as far as I can see all I did was damage the screw to hold it in place.

So I proceed to install this onto the new display and mount it onto the phone. I manage to put the cables 1,2, and 3 back in but I'm not sure if they are damaged. After mounting and pressing the lock button, the white screen of death appears.

I suspect the damage is either from the LCD, the cables, or worse the motherboard. Please help

First step with White Screen is Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone begins to start. Like Hector recommends before opening and during repair of iPhone 3GS make sure iPhone is OFF.

Sounds like the LCD is damaged. Try a different LCD and install with the phone OFF.
