The March 2015 update of Apple's 13" MacBook Pro Retina Display, model A1502, features fifth-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors and introduces the Force Touch trackpad.

Track Pad Cable (IWhat is this?) & Battery Stoppers.

While installing a new battery in a 2015 MBA A1502 13" I noticed this with the track pad cable, it looks like it is just the pull tab broken off, It would normally run around the underside on the cable to secure the pull tab..... The pull tab has just about broken free., but a closer look it looks like it can be some small wire? or? On test everything is functioning perfectly on this 2.9 gem.

While I am on this job, the new battery didn't have thse 4 tiny rubber stopper things that go into the plastic center surround, are they really necessary as they are a job to put in..... little 4 buggers just wont go in lol... String loop and pull them through maybe?

The cable has a pull tab which from the picture has been torn loose. It sits on top of the connector also acting as a liquid shield so the connector has some protection.

The little bumpers are to hold the bottom cover away from the battery a bit it's not typically a replaceable part. You'll need to salvage it from a junker or use some felt or cork.

Yeah, I took them off from the old battery when I noticed they were not present on the new, I tried to get them in but they are difficult stubborn things.... I just replaced them with some of them sticky spaces you get with an external enclosure, does the job well. I stuck back the pull tab with a little double sided tape to cover the connection.... not to sure how that would help out in a mini flood if it ever happened lol.
