My laptop is not turning on

I have changed the battery, the battery charged but still refused to turn on. I did a hard reset but still no response. I have tried charging the battery for long also changed the battery but still same problem. What can I do to resolve this ?

What type of charger are you using - barrel or USB-C? Sometimes with a weak or new stale battery, these G5-G10 machines do not properly charge without using the barrel adapter if you primarily use - the G11 obviously isn't affected being USB-C only but it's a thing. You can use a 65W or 90W slim blue tip barrel adapter like this: HP 65W 19.5V AC Adapter - 710412-001

If that doesn't wake it, try to remove the CMOS battery, hold the power button for 30 seconds, reconnect the CMOS first then the primary - give it a few minutes as the SureStart boot routines cause it to flash the caps lock key for 60-90 seconds due to the memory retraining and "default settings" rollback being more time consuming on the SureStart hardware.

If that doesn't work, it might be the motherboard :-(. HP Consumer has a lot more issues with that, but HP Commercial PCs usually fail due to BIOS passwords being there's no master password and the removal process is... something. That said, the HP Part# for the power button is L14374-001 if you want to try it for ~$20.
