Hi!

How much thermal paste did you use?

Are you sure that the thermal paste didn’t touched the board? Would check that first!

Could also be related to a broken PSU, or the MOSFET.

Also check if all the cables are correctly connected and that the board is clean, first.

Please let us know how it goes!

If i post a picture of the board would you be able to tell me if you see any visible problems? i used maybe a pea sized amount of paste

No, if it is PSU or MOSFET related, we cannot see it with the eye. But we can check for damage on the board anyway (or spilled thermal paste).

Okay i forgot to check my post but it was working perfectly fine just getting really hot before i changed the paste if scratched the board right next to the X clamp would that cause this?

Hi!

Could be yes.. Can you sent us some pictures regarding this? Thanks!

It does sound like you have caused some sort of damage when taking it a part. You could possibly have damaged a trace or knocked off a component where the scratch is. If you have a picture this could help identify the issue.
