How can I reinstall the HP Audio Equalizer app after uninstalling it?

I previously had the HP Audio Equalizer app. Due to some issue, I uninstalled it. Since then, I have not been able to find or reinstall the app. Even after reinstalling the complete HP audio driver, the Audio Equalizer app is not being installed. How can I install the HP Audio Equalizer app again?

To load the HP Audio Equalizer (usually

Bang & Olufsen or Realtek), first update your audio drivers via HP Support Assistant or Device Manager, then check the system tray or search for "B&O Audio Control," "HP Audio Center," or "Realtek Audio Console" in the Windows search bar; if missing, reinstall from the HP website or use the Microsoft Store for apps like Equalizer APO (with Peace GUI) or FX Sound for powerful alternatives.

Method 1: Using Built-in HP Software (If Available)

  1. Update Drivers: Visit the HP Support website for your specific model, download, and install the latest audio drivers, which often include the equalizer software.
  2. Check System Tray: Look for a speaker icon or B&O/Realtek icon in your taskbar's system tray (bottom right) and right-click for audio settings.
  3. Search in Windows: Press the Windows key and search for "B&O Audio Control," "HP Audio Center," or "Realtek Audio Console," then open the app.
  4. Find the Executable: If the app is installed but not launching, try navigating to C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA and double-clicking RtkNGUI64.exe (for Realtek).

Method 2: Using Microsoft Store Alternatives (If HP Software is Missing)

  • Equalizer APO + Peace GUI:
    • Install Equalizer APO (a system-wide equalizer) from its website.
    • Install Peace GUI, a user-friendly interface for Equalizer APO, from its website.
    • Configure settings in Peace GUI and save them.
