iPhone 3GS can't on

i walk up this morning and i found my iphone not working , not even showing any sign that a battery is down if i charge like its dead, yet before i slept at night, i left it charging but its battery was enough to withstand the whole night and when i walk up, my laptop had gone out of battery and it was off and also my phone i left inside was not working at all, i have tried to put in itunes and even pressing the home button and the up top right button down at an estimated time but northin is working not even anything happening on the phone, is there anyone with any solution to help me please coz i have no any other solution left

Hi Joel has the 3GS been charged up via the laptop and not a plug socket? Have you tried the 3GS charged directly into a mains socket via the iPhone plug? Are the contacts nice and clean at the bottom and could you elimate the iPhone cable by borrowing or using another iPhone cable?
