A more affordable, purely handheld version of the Nintendo Switch game console, with integrated Joy-Con controllers and a slightly smaller screen. Released September 20, 2019.

Fixing the screen ZIF connection on Nintendo switch lite

My switch lite was the victim of a tea spillage which seems to have eroded part of the smaller screen connection ribbon cable. I've replaced the LCD but it's still not working. On closer inspection it looks like the ZIF connector is also broken (I don't know if it happened during the LCD replacement.

Is there a way to replace just the top part without the precise soldering job needed to replace the entire connection?

Also some help finding a replacement connector would be gratefully received as I'm struggling to find the right thing online.

If anyone living in London could help me, that would be even better

Hi!

That one is the daughterboard and this one can be replaced seperately (so no soldering is required then).

You can find it in the guide here: Nintendo Switch Lite Screen Replacement - iFixit Repair Guide (step 39 all the way to step 49).

Also, you can find the part for sale which you can find here: For NS LITE Game Console L Button Board Keyboard For NS Switch Lite Left Funtion Flex Ribbon Cable Circuit Board - AliExpress 44

It ain't expensive. So replacing this board instead of soldering a new connector, is recommended.

Please let us know how it goes!
