The logic board was dead

I wanna got an iPod classic logic board to replace

my iPod video logic board, is it possible?

I checked my iPod video, all the parts are fine but the board.

Hi,

the classic board only fits into the classic. The 5th Gen. Board only fits into the 5th Gen iPod. It looks like they are the same, but they are not the same!

Good answer! In terms of sheer compatibility, the display connector is slightly wider on one of the boards, making it impossible to switch them out. Also, the iPod Video has horrible grounding issues that Apple addressed by grounding the Classic via 2 screws through the center of the logic board. Without that ground, there is no way to guess how long the board will last.
