LG 43UM7100PLB, horizontal Lines after FIXING with "tape method"

Hi, my tv suddenly stopped working after roughly 4 years, but backlight was still working. After watching countless youtube videos i taped approximatly first 14 pins on my LEFT connector and it works now but! Now i have horizontal lines on my TV.

Block Image

. I've figured (i hope correctly) that pins on my connector are:

  1. CLK1
  2. CLK2
  3. CLK3
  4. CLK4
  5. CLK5
  6. CLK6
  7. IDK
  8. IDK
  9. IDK
  10. IDK
  11. GND
  12. ODD
  13. EVEN
  14. IDK

Now first i will post top left corner.

Block Image

and now top right corner.

Left side is the bad. And right side was okay.

My question is: Will it be posiible to fix those lines or the PANEL is already somehow broken and this is best possible fix i could get. Thanks everyone for replying. Love ya <3

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@malejvelkej very seldom that you will need to tape of 14 consecutive pins. You may just be taping off a needed data line. Try no more than 4 pins at a time. It's a bit of a guessing game and it may not work, but like I said, 14 pins is a lot.

OK, well i figured in testing if i block 14-18 the TV will work normally if i dont consider those lines. So i need to block one of the CLOCK lines, and thats how i'm going to get it to work?

@malejvelkej just to clarify, you block lines 14 to 18 your TV works as it should but leaves the lines as shown in your image. Is that correct?

If so, then try to tape of more individual lines (no more than 4 preferably less at a time) but keep line 14 to 18 covered.

i wonder if you fix this already i fixed mine with a tape

but half of the screen has lines on it i tried alot of things like taping this side or this side still same result

it will probably be 1 of the clock lines, only tape them and then uncover 1 at a time until the issue starts again and then you need to cover the pin causing the issue

Hello daniel, i taped all 6 six CLOCK SIGNALS and no VIDEO. However i checked i hope they are capacitors for those 6 clock signals and in continuity mode they were all beeping continuosly so IDK. maybe i've got just blown capacitors idk. But when i block just those 6 clock signals i have no VIDEO.

@malejvelkej you need to uncover 1 at a time like i said to see which 1 is causing an issue

@tech_ni so let's just make things clear for me. I will tape all those 6 clock signals. When i taped all Clock lines, tv will not display anything. And then I try to remove one by one, and when i will see some image. That clock line needs to be taped? Sorry if i dont understand you. Maybe try to explain to me better. Anyway thanks for you HELPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SO, i've done what i could. Firstly, when i just block all the clock lines as show in the video TV doesnt show image. So i was searching i find out that from the panel in the bottom section are coming two PCB. And find out that pins i mentioned earlier. So when i taped only pins 11.GND 12.ODD 13.EVEN, LG logo appeared when i put TV into electiricty but after LG logo only some big glitch happend and then no Image. After that i started taping those clock signals. I try every combination i possible could. Best image i've got was when i block all the 6 clock lines. I think there's no more i can do for this tv expect of changing the panel i guess. @tech_ni thanks for your help but i think this is the end. Overall i think im in plus. I've got TV for free can't see the lines when i sit far back so i think its great. Hope this will help somebody in the future.
