I replaced the screen and power cable, now it doesn't turn on?

I dropped my iPad 2 wifi and shattered the screen. It was working great, even with the shattered screen. I replaced the screen, not knowing I had cut the PMV cable. I then ordered the PMV from you. I'm in Costa Rica and it arrived in 10 days! WOW. I installed the cable being SUPER careful not to break the wire. Everything looks good as far as I can tell. I screwed the LCD down, test fit the screen but it won't turn on! Help, PLEASE! I don't speak Spanish and the Google Translator is my lifeline.

P.S. I took it to the Apple re-seller here and they won't touch it because it's been opened and the warranty is void.
