DVD disk not recording pictures

Released February 2005, model number DCR DVD103. Has 20x Optical zoom and 680 KP.

I have a Sony DVD Handycam DCR 403.

In this the DVD is not reading or writing and not even detecting

All other functions are working. when we put the CD it displays circle with cross inside indicating no disk. I have tried new disk + & - DVD's

Options

The len is probably broken.

Try to see how much does it cost and then fix it.

(before changing it, try to clean it, it could help)
