Just seeking some wisdom from some legends on how (as the title states) to rebuild a Steering rack and pinion? I haven't done before and not afraid to give it a go. If some legend is able to put up a kind of Tutorial of sorts this would be legendary.

@bromeo60583 not sure what's going on with your steering rack but start of with the Ford Expedition Navigator Steering chapter for your Expedition. As for the actual rebuild, this gets trickier. Ford does not build it's own rack and pinion but get's most (not all ;-) from Detroit Axle. The same company also supplies the rack and pinion for Toyota. Check the Power Steering Rack Overhaul Procedure for those. It's most likely not the identical rack but essentially it will be worked on the same, meaning you will have to adjust the steps to your steering rack

This is a start and thank you mate! Well about 2 months ago the rack started leaking from the "outlet" that connects up to the 2 pressure lines. Bugger of a thing to get to but sorted it out. stopped leaking. Now it seems like its leaking somewhere else but within the same vicinity. Sometimes it leaks about 20-50ml depended on the drive and sometimes it doesn't. So, my train of thought is "stuff it" I will pull the whole thing out and get a rebuild kit off rockauto and swap everything out and have a bit of a nosey.
