Click Wheel is coming off iPod,can it be reglued?

I just bought a refurbished black 80 GB iPod 5.5G.

The whole black wheel(click wheel), is starting to come off.

I was able to pull it halfway off to see the sticky glue on the back . I pushed it back on hard in place, and it still works good, though it does slide a little back and forth in place.

Can i glue it down,or was it not properly put on correctly, when it was refurbished?

I see in the online pictures of a new click wheel,it looks like the actual black wheel is connected.

Maybe it's glued also, but it looks like it has 4 tabs on the back of the wheel and also tabs on the back of the click wheel button. Is it possible to glue it down without messing up the click wheel?

Allen Tenderfoot, I've tried the gluing thing once. I made a mess out of the click-wheel. I found it takes more time, patience and luck to try to glue it then to replace it. The click wheel is not very expensive, and by replacing it, you can rest assured that it will work. Use this guide for the repair. Hope this helps, good luck.

Thank You oldturkey03. I was hoping gluing would be easier than replacing and buying the tools.
