showing Apple logo for a second before the screen blackout

Hello, so I received this MacBook Air and the owner said that they spilled some liquid on it a few weeks back and it stopped working, so I’ve took it apart, it didn’t show any signs of liquid damage but a screw. so the first thing I did was some scrubbing the little connector on the motherboard gently with some isopropyl alcohol.

but as I reassembled it back together and pressed the the power button, the screen turned on, displaying a Apple logo for 5 seconds before turning black even though the MacBook was still on. I’ve use an external screen, and it displayed only if when I’m charging it. Help!

Did you fully remove the logic board or just look at it from the bottom side?

We don't have any guides for this model as it's almost a carbon copy of the older M2 model where you'll find these guides 2022 MacBook Air M2

Here's the explicit guide for the logic board Logic Board Replacement. I'm suspecting there's more damage on the back side.

I’ve fully removed the logic board and looked closely to insure that there was no water damage but there doesn’t appear to be any damage to the board though

@johnayer59209 - How does the connectors look and are any discolored/burnt components?

I'm suspecting you still have a logic board issue. You may need to snag the schematics and board view drawings so you can trace out the logic and/or power rails. The other option would be sliding in a spare logic board to verify things.

They look fine in my opinion, but I did took off the shielding from the logic board and there’s some rust on the bottom left of the metal. but I think it might be a logic board issue sadly
