my laptop power indicator keeps blinking 2x and then off, repeats after that without turning on.

It a LED error code, indicating there’s something wrong with the hardware. Check list posted in the other answer. These LEDs blink either white and/or amber or orange.
Here’s that link again. Expand the second section.
